Brand New Harley-Davidson 2018 Releases: 8 New Softails

The newest Harley-Davidson motorcycles are here, and they’re something to behold. Eight all-new Softails are pushing motorcycle technology into exciting new territory.

On the quest to make something truly new, nothing can be spared from examination. Here, Harley-Davidson engineers took the classic Softail frame and smashed it. Every line, every angle, every weld was rethought, and the result is a chassis that’s improved in just about every measurable metric. It’s substantially lighter (leading to bikes that average about 30 lbs of weight reduction) it’s 34% stiffer, and it fits the new Milwaukee-Eight engine like a glove. And that’s just the beginning. Read on to learn more about these amazing new bikes, or try one for yourself. Located in Ottawa, IL, we proudly serve all of Chicagoland and are offering test rides today.

Fat Boy® 114

If you’re the type of person who likes to make a bold first impression, there’s no more eye-catching cruiser than the Fat Boy 114. With stunning satin chrome finishes ranging from the solid disc wheels to the exhaust and headlight, the bike catches light in a stunning way. The Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin engine provides performance to match, too.

Heritage Classic 114

Baggers are perfect bikes for anyone who loves light touring and heavy cruising, and the Heritage Classic 114 proves why. It comes complete with a windscreen, ergonomically designed seat, saddlebags, and forward mounted controls you need for long distance rides. But it also offers awesome bagger looks that are reminiscent of the bikes from the middle of the last century that pioneered the style.

Deluxe

Strip away the touring accessories from the Heritage Classic 114 and you’re left with the Deluxe, a stunning cruiser that gets people’s attention no matter where it goes. The Deluxe has a unique triple headlight design, tapered double exhaust, and swept fenders which work together to make an unforgettable bike that you will want to ride all day.

Softail Slim®

There’s nothing flashy about the Softail Slim except its performance. Designers chopped the fenders, dropped the chassis low, added some Hollywood handlebars and a tuck and roll seat, letting the performance do the talking. With a 35 lb reduction from the previous version, a 107 cubic inch V-Twin engine, and Showa racing style cartridge front forks, this bike can roll up to any challenger with confidence.

Breakout® 114

Take off from the line on the Breakout 114, a drag bike built for the modern era. It’s stretched out for more high speed stability, and its low slung style looks great at any speed. The big Milwaukee-Eight engine provides next level performance, offering a 16% improvement in 60-80 mph times.

Fat Bob® 114

The Fat Bob 114 rolls heavy on big, aggressive tires and a beefed up suspension that handle 450 lbs of cargo load. The chopped fenders, stretched headlight, and up-turned double exhaust all command a striking profile. But you’ll really start to understand this awesome bike when you take it for a ride and feel how much fun it is to ride.

Street Bob®

The Street Bob is a muscled up hot rod that hits the streets hard. You’ll love the retro looks that come from rubber front fork boots, wire spoke rims, and mini-ape handlebars. But you might like the performance even more. Mid-mounted controls help you take advantage of the excellent handling by giving more control when you lean hard. This bike is pure fun.

Low Rider®

Of all the bikes to come over from the Dyna chassis, the Low Rider might show the greatest improvements in performance. Built in the style of a 1970s chopper, the Low Rider has a raked front end, double exhaust, cast wheels, and 70s-inspired graphics. The independent riders will love taking this unique bike for a spin.
